Graph Drawing Modal is stuck for a brand new repository #316

Use the create a local repo to create a local repository and it will transition to the graph screen with the drawing graph modal infinitely displayed as the graph cannot be drawn. The user has the option to close the modal but this is not intuitive behavior.
