Bug in the Diff Panel #274

Steps to reproduce:

Open a file
Click edit
Click on another file
Click cancel
Can no longer open any other files

The following is a screenshot showing the console logs at time of error:

It appears that the existing logic for handling display of file diffs is incompatible with the editor.

Got the same error. When edit panel is open, diff panel element is not in the dom and that might be the reason why the nativeElement is undefined:
