I was looking at some of the code you (@kboyd) had started and it appears to include features for clipping. Clipping wasn't among the Release 1 features we had discussed and I feel it needs more consideration/design before incorporation into a release.

The status of these items has changed somewhat:

handle undefined PR space: horizontal line to first defined PR point (this is the same)
PR curve plotting with linear interpolation: add underestimate point in case of tie, otherwise linear interpolation is fine; sampling method and direct method are obsolete in current design/intention
PR area: trapezoids/rectangles as appropriate following linear interpolation of PR curve points

This was decided today during in-person discussion with @kboyd.
