Display which program belongs a string #14

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Some time ago, open-tran displayed from which program a string was and it
was really useful.

There's any plan to bring back this feature?

At least for the GNOME strings is really useful (since I'm a GNOME
translator :)

Also the number of hits was useful too (don't know if you want me to create
another issue for this)

Thanks for this really really useful website and project!

Removing the links was a part of my strategy to improve the performance,
especially
that I added few new sources (openSUSE and XFCE) of data. Thanks to that, I
managed
to reduce the size of the database. Technically, it is possible to display the
words, even in the optimized version of the database (although, this will
require a
new import) and I think that it is definitely worth rethinking. However, I
cannot
promise to do it before August (I'm going on vacation for the last 2 weeks of
July,
and I have to close a lot of things at work before I leave for such a long
time).

I'd love to have that functionality back too :)

Many people express support for this feature, so I will try to implement it as
soon
as possible.

I wanted to give you guys a heads up - the feature has already been implemented
and
is being deployed on the server (which means copying ~3GB over an ADSL link to
the
server). I expect it to be ready tomorrow morning.
