Did you create a virtual screen first? You can see instructions on the top of the GUI window.
I read the others issues, mine its like #16 but in my case i have debian 9. But, i try the process, to add a new Virtual1, but isn't work. I have nvidia graphic card, gt 1030.
What iGPU are you using? Currently VirtScreen does not support AMD cpus. If you are using Intel, please tell me if you are using Nvidia proprietary driver or open-source nouveau driver.
Graphic Card: GeForce GT 1030 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100 CPU @ 3.90GHz And i use this driver: https://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/375.20/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-375.20.run&lang=us&type=TITAN
Thanks a lot!
The correct Xorg settings for you is described here.
Create mentioned 30-virtscreen.conf
and reboot the computer.
I tried to test that configuration, but when I rebooted the system, it did not start again, and the screen started to flash. on my card I have the port dvi, and the hdmi, busy, does that have something to do with it?
What do you mean "it did not start again" and which "screen" started to flash? exactly?
Sorry, i didn't see the aswer! Well, the first time that i tried the #16 configuration something strange happends, when i reboot my debian the screen start to flashing out and didnt start so i start the system in safe mode, and i had to disabled the configuration to start my system normally. This case happends because i didn't wiote well the 30-virtscreen.conf file, but i saw the error and then write correctlly, and reboot normally but the virtscreen1 didn't appears :(
