I am using a lenovo legion laptop with an nvidia gpu, and virtual 1 doesn't show up. i have tried adding the 20-intel.conf file suggested by other people, but after restarting, my computer wouldnt boot at all, until i found a way to remove that conf file.

tl;dr what im trying to say is nothing i could find works, so any help is good at this point

The 20-intel.conf file is for intel integrated graphics only, so of curse it will f up your Xorg with an nvidia GPU. I also have one.

As for solutions, I have no ideas. I tried many, including https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/559918/how-to-add-virtual-monitor-with-nvidia-proprietary-driver but that ended up broken after a restart of my pc.
