That video was more than a year old when you posted... Also, were you using the latest dsoal version of the day? Because it could be just as well the same problem of https://github.com/kcat/dsoal/issues/57#issuecomment-1176976745 otherwise.

New version without change. But in NOLF2, the reverb echo works. Using DSOAL 0.9.4 + OpenAL Soft 1.23.0 (ThreeDeeJay)
