Inspection type- how is it captured and its impacts on data #2

Will inspection type be captured in a field? Does the type of inspection impact the required fields needed based on the chosen inspection type?

per BWR- This is a question for Elliott. I believe all fields are available at this time regardless of inspection type, unless it’s an underground inspection (?), then I believe the plan is for fields to be filtered / changed.

Currently, this is just a field in the data. We need more clarification as to how these choices affect the options.

Kiona thought that we should have been given the inspection light and construction remediation criteria. I recall seeing the inspection light, but not the construction one. It may have been in the same email. Check for any emails about these things and forward to me if I didn’t get it the first time. She said to use those emails as final. Also, for remediation verification: this was just discussed/finalized(?) in the past month. Kiona to review notes and follow up with Delise.

I have analyzed supporting these new inspection types. It is a more substantial lift than I had thought and I may not have enough time to implement by UAT. Without even seeing the verification criteria, here's some information on the inspection light support.

The Inspection Light ratings vary according to the type and subtype of BMP (see criteria below). For automatic support in Survey123, I need to bring the BMP type and subtype over via URL and set up all the ratings to filter on them. (The 1.2 form doesn't even contain the BMP type/subtype attributes--I haven't needed them) I'd need to convert two domains to Survey123 domains and implement all of that relevancy for filtering. Doable but time-consuming.

This new workflow introduces complexity into the design but simplicity into the user's experience.

@ladejobi How do you think we should proceed on this? I think it could take a day or two of config time, plus deployment and testing, so my opinion is that we should wait until post UAT.

As discussed on the phone, we can differ this until higher priority items are addressed since it does not affect the backend schema.
