items will just get stuck in the block's inventory without going anywhere on any sort of configuration and mode afterwards.

plus, when placing a filter, you get this error: [20:15:30] [Server thread/WARN]: Block entity philter:filter @ class_2338{x=-644, y=110, z=-912} state Block{philter:filter}[enabled=true,facing=down,filter=north,filtered=0] invalid for ticking:

So I think there's something off with the no filter mode.

So you need tp manually edit lithium's hopper optimizations or disable it and this wont happen. my bad. my suggestion is to make this more clear on the mod page.

I'll see if I can get lithium to be happy, I think I did that in 1.20.
