Firefox hogs 100%+ CPU every couple of seconds with yrp enabled.

What version of the product are you using? Of which platform? Chrome,
Firefox, Safari, Android or iOS? On what operating system?

I just updated to Firefox 28. I have Youtube Ratings Preview 3.2.3, on Lubuntu 
13.04.

What steps will reproduce the problem? Please include a URL of YouTube
where the bug can be seen, if it applies.

Not exactly sure. Switching from Facebook chat to other tabs and then back 
seems to trigger it though. This happens even if youtube is not open.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Firefox stutters even if youtube is not open, with /usr/lib/firefox/firefox 
eating >100% CPU. As soon as I disable the addon, Firefox starts behaving 
normally again.

Do you still suffer this issue? I'll be working on a new version of Firefox in 
the next days, but can't reproduce it.

I just updated to Firefox 29. The problem is still there, although WAY less 
pronounced (which is good). Now it basically just hangs for 1-2 seconds when 
reloading some tab or switching. Sorry for not being able to give you more 
info, if you need me to do anything just ask =)

I'll be doing some core changes to the Firefox version. The new version will 
only be compatible with Firefox 30+ because of some addon SDK API changes. 
Firefox 30 is expected to launch on June 10, 2014, but pre-release versions can 
be downloaded.

I'm pretty busy right now but in 2-3 weeks I'll start working on it. At that 
point I will send you the addon for testing so that you can tell me if it works 
for you, if you are okay.

I just published version 4.0. It is still pending review but you can force the 
update by installing from here:

I have not been able to make any attempt to fix the issue you mention, but just 
in case, could you please test it? In 2-3 weeks I'll have time to look at the 
particular issue more deeply. It seems to happen only in Linux.

Hey, installed it now. At a first glance there's still a little bit of lagging 
but it seems to have improved again. At least now it is tolerable. I'll keep it 
on for a while and report what I'll find. Thanks for your work!
