This service used a third party - Google Feedburner. But I have now switched to GitHub Notifications. So I need to replace the Update Service page with a GoutPal Notifications Service page.

This will describe how GoutPal notifications can be set:

• Globally for all GoutPal Issues, for all GoutPal Discussions, or for both.
• Individually for any individual Discussion or Issue.
• Tailored by setting globally, then unsubscribing individual topics that are not wanted.

After publishing the new page, I will:

• Change existing Feedburner links to the new page.
• Add Issue Notification messages to articles.

Next, I will:

• Announce GoutPal Notifications in the forum ✅
• Replace FeedBurner references on GoutPal.com
• Replace FeedBurner references on GoutPal.net
• Replace all links to the old info update page (.com and .net)
• Tidy and summarize this issue.

Early feedback tells me that this is more complicated than it needs to be. So later today, I will announce an easier way to stay updated about gout.

I have:

• Changed my complicated notification page. Now retitled GoutPal Contributor Updates
• Restarted the original, automatic GoutPal Email Notification Service. Though I should standardize the link to https://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=GoutPal
• Introduced a new curated Web Push Notification Service.

I will:

• Start a new hub page to introduce these services. Including notice that I will continue to maintain the GoutPal Forum until transition to new platforms is more complete.
• Create explanation pages for each of the Email Notification and the Web Push Notification services.

Then, complete the technical tasks:

• Replace all links to the old info update page (.com and .net)
• Tidy and summarize this issue.
