Apple trailers not working again #77

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Hello,

Apple is at it again and I'm once more having the same issue I reported
here last year
(http://code.google.com/p/gecko-mediaplayer/issues/detail?id=34&can=1&q=apple),
so I would guess it's time to change the user agent for Quicktime again.
The latest Quicktime is 7.6.4.

Just wanted to give you a heads up :)

Thanks!

After several changes to SVN gnome-mplayer and gecko-mediaplayer apple trailers
now
work. It was not the QuickTime Agent

Well, I updated to the latest SVNs for both and it still doesn't work, onyl the
problem has changed.

It could just be my shitty internet, but now it sits and says "connecting" on
some
trailers, while on others it doesn't even try to load. if I open a HD trailer,
it'll
pop open Gnome MPlayer and just sit there, not doing anything. Even though my
net is
slow, before it would always just take forever to load, it never behaved this
way.

Ok, I'm testing it on another site, so it's working there so it's definitely
not my
internet, slow though it may be. It's Apple's site again.

What version of Firefox are you using? If you are using 7.6 can you try 7.5?

I use Firefox 3.6, but I tried it out with Swiftfox 3.5.3 and it's working...
so I
guess it does work, but not with Firefox 3.6

I assume this'll be fixed eventually.

Firefox 3.6 seems to have broken many things. Once it arrives on my machine I
will
have time to debug it. Patches welcome.
