The necessary steps to properly save context's settings are strange. #43

To save all of my contexts to the "server" I first need to click the save button at the bottom, so that the config string will update, THEN I need to click save to server. If done in the opposite order, settings aren't saved properly.

Ideally, I never need to click a save button. It would just happen automatically after each edit, or upon closing the options window.

I have lost my contexts a few times already, because I thought I had saved them to a server.

Another question: by saving my settings to a server, my settings are synced for all my browsers, on all the devices I use chrome? Or just on the local device I am on?

Is automatic saving of settings a reasonable feature to request?

Hey! Thanks for feedback. This is absolutely a reasonable feature to request. Context was created couple years ago when autosaving, for some reason, wasn't obvious solution for me. I'm not sure when I'll find time to implement it though. If you are interested in contributing, please do!

I am interested, I just first need to learn more about how to create and test chrome extensions... Which is something I am definitely interested in learning, I've just never done it before and don't know a good place to start.

Maybe you can point me in the right direction, and I can see what I can do. Also, this server string is confusing to me, I don't understand how it works. On 25 Mar 2015 4:42 am, "Konrad Dzwinel" notifications@github.com wrote:

Huh, not sure why I never followed up with this... Still open to sharing some knowledge? I'd love to learn... I still use context all the time, and have desires for new functionality :P
