Rebus #35

Does Shortyz have the capability to enter more than 1 letter in a square (rebus)? The NYT crosswords often requires this on Thursdays and Fridays. If so, what is it? If not, what is the workaround?

+1 for this. serious crutch of shortyz.

@dwbenson, in my experience (~1.5 yrs on the app), the workaround has always been to enter the first letter of the rebus answer (e.g., if the rebus is LOVE enter L). This covers ~95% of cases. Harder to read, but at least the puzzles finish.
