@astrojuanlu I was thinking about this some more (showerthoughts) and decided that we need more than a blog post about the course, we also need a "front page" for it to send to people for information.
We could do this on the website but we don't have a mock up design or page for it yet (which we could cue up while we work on the content). But I am wondering if it would actually be OK/sensible to make it a page of documentation (so don't make it promotional, make it a factual set of links to the videos or even embeds).
OR
We could make a page on awesome-kedro
which isn't so high-ranking but would be an option.
Any thoughts, ideas, beliefs, views and philosophies welcome.
Edit: After discussion, I added a ticket to add a docs page: https://github.com/kedro-org/kedro/issues/3302
We have just published a video course to teach you the skills you need to unlock the power of Kedro.
This is the key part from a keyword point of view. Get the messaging right here about maintainability, collaboration and productionisation.
Start with the highlights -- how to set up Kedro, how to create your first project, how to use Kedro-Viz
Ability to drop in and out of modules by watching a few short videos rather than the whole course. List all the modules (either as a list or as a graphic if it looks too messy (not ideal but could be necessary)
Introduce @astrojuanlu who is an experienced teacher and practitioner Highlight their expertise and practical experience in the field
Emphasise the hands-on nature of the course, allowing participants to learn through a practical example. Mention the resources, such as links to docs and starters, to enhance the learning experience by focussing on skills acquisition rather than boring setup tasks.
In time we can add something from comments received.
Identify the target audience, including data engineers, analysts, and anyone keen on enhancing their data engineering skills. Emphasize the course's accessibility to both beginners and those with some prior experience who need to learn more (link again here to more advanced topics like Docker and Airflow).
Provide information on how interested individuals can "enroll" in the course. Basically -- it's on youtube, knock yourself out
Reinforce the significance of mastering Kedro in the ever-evolving data landscape. Readers will be encouraged to explore the course and take the first step towards elevating their data engineering expertise.
@astrojuanlu there's a brief above for you to use for the blog post. I'm happy to write it but want to offer you first refusal (and feel free to discard the brief if you have prefer your own structure).
I'll give it a go 💪🏽
This is done and published
This could be a short section for In the Pipeline but I'd rather we create the content that we would have had on Udemy so we make the Kedro blog the front page for the course, keyword optimised with useful content, links and review feedb ack.
