@merelcht has just run a phenomenal session outlining the wider vision for 0.18.x, breaking changes in 0.19.x and beyond.

We should take the community on this journey with us - so a Blog post / Open session would be a good mechanism for this.

A 💯 times this. It might even be a good opportunity to kickstart community calls, although that takes some preparation. At the minimum, let's do a blog post.

Today it was brought to my attention that https://github.com/orgs/kedro-org/projects/3/views/1 is extremely outdated.

@merelcht pointed to https://github.com/orgs/ibis-project/projects/5/views/13 as an example of a very clear roadmap and I 100 % agree.

Let's look into this soon.

Found this great post with inspiration on how other products show a public roadmap: https://supahub.com/blog/public-product-roadmap-examples

Some thoughts I had while going through the above:

Using non time bound sections: e.g. "next up", "current", "future", "backburner": e.g. https://www.jenkins.io/project/roadmap/
Using GitHub projects as first iteration because it's quick to set up.
Could potentially move it to the website in the future when we have design and engineering capacity. (https://portal.productboard.com/useloom/1-loom-s-product-roadmap/tabs/3-coming-soon)

We discussed that this is good to go for now and we'll keep evolving it. Leaving this issue open.

The goal is to keep the Roadmap view "high level" in a way that themes/topics/epics are shown and not individual tickets.
