G5 JS behaves differently on twitpic #106

The Twitpic image manipulation overlay appears fine on G4/7450 and reference
Windows Firefox. It will not reappear on G5.

This may be fixed for us if we get methodjit working, but we should explore the
G5-specific tracejit paths and see if disabling acceleration fixes the bug.

I suspect the mcrxr code.

Dropping milestone now that we have methodjit.

It does it in debug mode on the G5 as well.

It does it even with a 7450 build, that *does* work on a 7450. What gives?

Unchanged by compiler update, which makes me think the OS may have something to
do with this.

Do I need a twitpic account to test this with AuroraFox? The overlay to rotate
an image or to view it fullsized does work well here repeatedly, using G5
optimized methodjit on OS X 10.5.

No, you don't need an account. I'm really suspicious this is a 10.4 OS bug I
need to work around.

(Also, test it on a real G5 if you can. The 7450 version, for example, exhibits
the same bug *on a G5*, but works normally on a 7450.)

I ran AuroraFox on an iMac G5 and in TFF 17 G5 it is also working fine on that
same machine.

In 10.5, I assume?

Yes, I ran both in 10.5 .
[Can't get my hacked Intel Tiger working on the G5 because of some problem with
kernel extensions (Platform expert doesn't get loaded, just in case you've
heard of that already), so I can't compare to 10.4]
