Make update preferences clearer to understand

I looked through the documentation and found no answer to this: In 
Preferences>Advanced>Update, what's the difference between 

1) „Automatically install updates…“, 
2) „Check for updates, but let me choose…“, and 
3) „Never check…“?

1) does check correctly, but of course doesn't install automatically because we 
don't do this. 2) does nothing for me (which is odd and maybe a bug), and 3) 
works as expected (=does nothing).

I know these are setting tailored for Firefox's update mechanism, but maybe 
there is a way to make this clearer to users in a support document.

So are you proposing a locale change, or a chrome change, or both?

I could see simply pulling option #1 (and having #2 point to #1).

I think an FAQ entry would do as long as we have source parity.
