Bold Font Issues #230

* I read everything above and have demonstrated this bug only occurs on
10.4Fx by testing against this official version of Firefox 4/up (not
applicable for startup failure) - SPECIFY VERSION YOU TESTED AGAINST: The
latest stable Firefox release, v22 I think

* Layout bugs MUST be tested against a system WITHOUT hardware
acceleration. Go to Help, Troubleshooting Information to see if your test
system is accelerated. If your test system IS accelerated, you must make
sure it is OFF, OR test on ANOTHER system that isn't. If this is NOT a
layout or display bug, you can skip this step.

* This is a startup crash or failure to start (Y/N):No

* This is a fault of JavaScript acceleration (Y/N):No (Use the steps above to
find out. Do NOT report if it is not.)

* What steps are necessary to reproduce the bug? These must be reasonably
reliable.
I don't know what I did. I just clicked on the FAQ for Tenfourfox from the
start page (http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/start/) and the fonts
soon turned to gibberish. I captured an image, which is here:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_F1gyHiB4fdZzFyOGwzRUgxSWc/edit?usp=sharing .
I don't know if this is reproducible, and it hasn't happened before or again.

* Describe your processor, computer, operating system and any special
things about your environment. I have an iBook G4 at 1.2 Ghz. It runs 10.5
Leopard. I have these addons on my computer: Adblock Edge, Disconnect,
Flashblock, Greasemonkey, HTTPS-Everywhere, and Quicktime Enabler. I also have
the about:config tweaks found here:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1370723 . However, my installation
of Firefox has the same tweaks and addons and displays the page fine.

* If this is a startup crash or failure to start, have you tried restarting
with a clean profile or in safe mode? Does this fix the problem?

* For crashes or startup failure (optional): paste in any information from
Crash Reporter, or if you are able to run 10.4Fx in gdb, paste in the
backtrace. You can often do it like this from within Terminal.app:

cd appname.app/Contents/MacOS
gdb firefox
run
*crash the app
bt full

* Include any useful additional information, steps you have tried, etc.:
I've said it already, but a picture of what happened is here:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_F1gyHiB4fdZzFyOGwzRUgxSWc
Thanks for your help!

Without a reliable set of steps to reproduce, there isn't a lot I can do with
this report, unfortunately. I will mark it Unconfirmed and leave it open for a
while to see if anyone has any way that I can duplicate it on the test systems,
but if there isn't, I'll have to WorksForMe it.

I don't have any other reports and I can't reproduce this myself. If you are
able to create steps that I can reproduce on the test machines, please post
them here and I will reevaluate the report.
