this is an old issue apparently but it seems to have re-appeared , i read the problems had been fixed with the new packer , i dragged town the tarball and installed it and same error appears

tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
No PKGBUILD found in directory.
Im no packager but i been told if you use makepkg -S to make the src tarball it might just work.
