Expected Behavior After loggin into a website using this plugin, the plugin should recognize if the password gets changed on this site ie by using the change password function of that site and after that asking me if i want to save the new password.

Current Behavior: Nothing happens / no recognition / no popup asking me to update the database with the new password.

Possbile Solution Dont know - im not a developer.

Steps to Reproduce (1) log into a website using the stored information from this plugin from KeepassXC. (2) Change your password using the change your password options in the account settings of the website. (3) No popup / no recognition.

Debug Info KeePassXC 2.7.7 KeePassXC Browser Version: 1.9.0.2 Firefox 124.0.1 Windows 11

Comment: Loggin in works fine.

Thanks for your fast reply - hope this is sufficient now :).

What is the site where this happens? Is the "Show a banner on the page when new credentials can be saved to the database." option enabled in the settings?

darkalpha84 commented 8 months ago

It happenes on all sites i tried so far. For example nexusmods.com or factorio.com or saturn.de. And the option you mentioned is checked.

I cannot reproduce this. I'd recommend reinstalling the extension, or trying to create a new temporary profile and see if it fixes the error.

@varjolintu This issue is probably more similar to the one I had, where updates or additions to passwords found by the browser could not be effectively compared within the repository, resulting in duplicate or invalid data
