Theme greys stored unnecessarily inside the theme in .colours.Grey (these should be a copy of the grey palette, which is defined in code anyway, but are actually saved as a copy of the default grey palette ), and on theme update the CSS vars are written into the HTML from .colours.Grey and then overwritten with those from the palette defined in .grey_palette
