METAR reports are meteorogical weather reports for aviation. Metar is a small program which downloads weather reports for user-specified stations and optionally decodes them into a human-readable format.
Hi,
Debian is using watch files to track upstream releases which in the best case are following release tags. It would be great if you could tag your releases to know what commit is of production quality to be distributed to users.
While there is a last resort in watch files to fetch the latest commit this is in the case of metar not helpful since the last commits are just inside the debian/ dir and are not really upstream code. So it would be great if you could tag the latest commit that affects a file outside the debian/ dir as an upstream release.
Kind regards, Andreas.
