It doesn't look like OpenLayers or https://github.com/openlayers/ol-mapbox-style quite yet support the new style with 3D buildings. It loads OK, but it doesn't have a layers element in the JSON that returns and so (presumably!) OpenLayers displays a blank basemap.
I'm guessing OpenLayers just needs to update MapboxVectorLayer to handle the new style format?
