What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Not sure if reproducible, but:
2. Was past medusa in mine levels, #invoked Orb of Fate with Ring of Tport
Control equipped
3. Mistakenly entered desired level as "2e" (stupid droid user)
4. Ported to level 2
5. Took downstair and got deather by trickery
6. Something long lines of "Couldn't open level 47 map file. It must have been
removed."
I was so surprised/distraught, I didn't capture the exact error, but I think it
was level 47. I'm not sure how the levels are numbered wrt the mines and such
(level 2 went to mines and dungeon, may have taken mines staircase) but I am
pretty sure it was 47, as this also happens to be 0x2e in decimal (keeping in
mind I 'tried' to port to '2e' not '2'.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should not have died of trickery, either I confused he game into trying to
load the wrong file, or the correct file was removed by android or nethack (or
locked, etc).
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
