ORCO Tower #46

The building ORCO Tower in Warsaw:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/3190068

has much more parts than just two visible "tower" pieces.

kekscom commented 10 years ago

Agreed. Would be a nice buildings if tags were set correctly but they aren't. Most building parts are missing a building=* tag.

kocio-pl commented 10 years ago

Thanks for the quick reply!

They are all tagged as a "building:part=*", because that's what they really are - only parts of the building, not the standalone buildings. That sounds reasonable and is in specification (and works in Kendzi3D).

It gets interesting here, because http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/237108415 and http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/236510343 are also parts, but they are visible. So I guess they should all be visible (or all invisible) - I don't know why they differ in OSMB rendering?

Ok I'll give it a deeper check! BTW Warszawa is nicely modeled..

kocio-pl commented 10 years ago

Thanks! That's why I made a quick stop to make sure the quality match the quantity. =} All the main 3D models in Warsaw are listed here:

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Poland/Warszawa/Warszawa_w_3D

There are two columns with links, where you can live check how the buildings are rendered. If I find some more problems with OSMB, I will post another issues here, but I want to do it gradually.

Looks much better now. Is it your change from max_level to levels tag? ;-)

kocio-pl commented 10 years ago

I did just this (it was suggested to me by F4 developer), so if you haven't done anything, then yes. =}

It's been right on time before starting a bigger investigation. :-)
