grid and eso-pic 2.0 #1

The grid doesn't work with eso-pic after version 2.0. The actual version was based on the eso-pic version 1.1 where it still works, but i haven't found the difference in the package (might also depend on the change there from everyshi to atbegshi).

Any ideas appreciated

I can confirm, that grids aren't working. But I tried with eso-pic.sty v1.1d in current working directory and it still didn't work. To be sure I then added everyshi.sty v3.00. It still didn't work. I couldn't find a pure v1.1 of eso-pic. But if it's a change in eso-pic, then it is before 2.0 step.

With grids working this would be really nice. I really like the new "print" option of kartei.cls. I'm doing the same at the moment using pdfnup and join manually.

Thanks for investing the problem, i had an old version of eso-pic which was v1.1f and my mactex2008 produced the print grid with that. I'll try to get that working soon, and i also have some other nice ideas of improvement.

I made some small remarks today: The eso-pic now only hooks up into my even pages, so my first shipout is kind a ignored, and the positioning is totally changed in comparison to the old version, haven't figured out how to place something on my front pages.

So i figured to at least get the grid on the answer-sides back, though only for the second and further pages not the first page of answers. I think eso-pic is now using another hook to put their stuff into the TeX-shiptout which now interferes in other ways with the changes pgfpages does to the shipout.

Changed the package usage to atbegshi and implemented an alternative version of the grids, which is even shorter in its code.
