Daily (or more frequent) backups are important during the season.
Culling on S3 to save on storage costs means that during the off season backups are being culled with nobody using the site, so if there is a data fault that is introduced and is not discovered during the period before culling, then it's possible to lose the database.
Need to find a way around this whether it's some AWS functionality that can easily be enabled, or by having two backup buckets, one for long term backups which are always kept (and created at a slower rate), and one for daily or hourly backups which is constantly culled.
