Can you please, review the Contributing Guidelines of the repository?

Was there a problem with the Java and Kotlin compilations as referenced by this PR subject line?

The "Description" only mentions the addition of 3 algorithms in Kotlin, but there is no further mention that 25 other files were also updated. The changes were not described in this PR description or why they were made.
