Suggestion: Dropping annotation support and referring to GitGutter #258

There is a project https://github.com/jisaacks/GitGutter which does the git status symbols really well.

It seems to me that everyone would benefit if the annotation code would be dropped and suggesting to use GitGutter for annotations. Or maybe merge the 2 projects

I'm not opposed to this. I accepted the annotations support in a pull request, and have never been terribly interested in keeping it maintained myself, so this works for my interests fairly well.
