Brave browser Speedreader not using Piper TTS #6

The Brave browser has a built in reading mode called Speedreader. When using the extension, installed Piper voices can be selected. But they don't work when TTS is started, instead TTS falls back to a generic Microsoft voice.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Install Brave Browser
  2. Install the extension and a Piper voice
  3. Visit an article and select speedreader in the URL bar
  4. Select a piper voice in TTS settings and start TTS

(Piper TTS is working correctly when using it on ttstool.com)
