5 months ago - each user has a collection of documents called transactions
- each document is actually just all the transactions they made in that financial week.
- the document is going to be titled the date of the first day of that financial week (
- so if we need to say add a transaction to the user's document (like ignoring it or anything like that) we need to save the transaction as "{month}-{day_ofweek}-{year}{txn_id}" and then do whatever you need to do with the ids after that.
- include the day so you can sort it well? i mean it wouldn't matter if you're getting the entire document for that month
- we can use the day of week to do math and figure out the date that corresponds to that one. like wednesday is 3, just do 3 days before that date and boom you have the document AND financial week that belongs to.
- for big batch operations its probably worth it to have like a lookup table or an array that contains all of start dates of the financial weeks, but for the frontend we can just use native date APIs.
