Ubuntu version is outdated and no longer supported #119

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Download Virtualbox instance from the downloads section, unzip, load into
virtualbox and run
2.Try to upgrade ubuntu
3.Try to install anything

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The current ubuntu version used is Ubuntu 11.04 and is not easily upgraded.
Ubuntu recommends a fresh install as opposed to trying to upgrade anything this
old: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes. It would be nice to have a
version that runs on 14.04.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
N/A

Please provide any additional information below.
The current version of ubuntu, 14.04, is an LTS (long term support) version,
meaning if you use this version, you won't have to mess with this issue for 5
more years. :-)

By the way, cool program! Very helpful!

you can upgrade the image all the way to the latest build, but it seems to
break a few things. All your Perl CPAN modules are removed and had to be added
back in for one.

Also broken the results upload. But apart from that, well worth doing!

Update - Upgrade seems to bork your certificate files for some reason. If you
have an issue after upgrade, follow the create cert process in the full README
and then download the updated client cert to your browser.

Running well now, and wont concern clients deploying an outdated image on their
LAN.

you mentioned the results upload is broken, can it be fixed? I have not
attempted the upgrade yet but I need to soon.

Can OpenDLP 0.5.1 be installed from scratch on 14.04?

It's been a while since I submitted this ticket. I can say that I downloaded
the VM because I was having difficulties installing from scratch, but what the
issues were I no longer remember.

Also, martin mentions that you can upgrade all the way to the latest build, but
it's not that simple. Ubuntu states here that the version used (11.04) is no
longer supported, and no upgrade path exists. You can find hacks to get around
this on the web, but they all warn that you may have unexpected issues if you
try. (Ref: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes)

Thanks.
