What steps will reproduce the problem?
i don't have the script but i can explain:
have Vobsub text at Top stays still for 1:00 minute
& have Vobsub text at Bottom change every 5-10 second
this.
this will help you reproduce the problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected output:
it should work without causing any video pauses
Official VSFilter 2.39 doesn't cause any video pause problems with Prebuffer
Enabled.

i see instead:
Vobsub rendering at Multiple Position causes video pauses for second.
while Vobsub text at Top or at any other position stays still
Vobsub text at bottom causes video to pause for second
each time Vobsub text at bottom changes
Official VSFilter 2.39 also cause lags same way as xy-VSFilter
but only if Prebuffer is Disabled.

What version of the product are you using?
xy-VSFilter_3.0.0.42_Bug_Fix.7z

Please provide any additional information below.
If Vobsub Text rendering at only usual Position "Bottom"
it doesn't causes any video pauses whether Prebuffer is Enabled or Disabled.

We haven't forgotten about this. It was our original intention to re-enable the
legacy VSFilter pre-buffering code with the release of 3.0.0.40. Unfortunately,
this idea was scraped after making a couple test builds and discovering the
legacy pre-buffering code was now completely incompatible with xy-VSFilter, and
wouldn't even activate properly.

Any plans to enable pre-buffering are now delayed until we finish
implementation of xy-VSFilter's new subtitle interface.
