The authors state that ‘Several wireless technologies operate in the same building, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other IEEE802.15.4-based networks. “ How difficult is to produce a heat map of the environment to support the results presented in Section 3.2?

keomabrun commented 7 years ago

@twatteyne do we have device to produce that heat map easily ? If yes, could Remy/You do it maybe ?

twatteyne commented 7 years ago

We could look at the extended HRs. Did we collect those?

keomabrun commented 7 years ago

We don't have those unfortunately

twatteyne commented 7 years ago

Felipe deployed a network to create the heatmap. Is the heatmap the reviewer's suggestoin, or your idea?

keomabrun commented 7 years ago

reviewer suggestion. I will look at the extended HR as soon as they are available

Cool

My two cents... A map with WIFI access points positions + 802.15.4 nodes positions + scanning with channels they are using (e.g wifi analyzer android app), could help to give the reviewers an idea about the wireless congestion. We also could mention the default setup or channel for WIFI AP and motes.

Here is the Heatmap generation notebook: https://github.com/keomabrun/brun17comcom/blob/master/notebooks/Heatmap.ipynb

I will add WiFi AP location ASAP.
