Powered Boats #69

Open Furacaoloko opened 11 years ago

Furacaoloko commented 11 years ago

Boats that can be fueled by coal or other power sources from other mods, they'll sail without needing to press W. These boats have upgrade slots, that you can place a IC2, BC or UE power upgrades, after placing the upgrades you can place batteries on the fuel slot to power them.

Will be a module installable in the modular boat, #50

keplersj commented 10 years ago

Rather than being an exclusive module installable in the modular boat, this will be an over arching concept in this era of the mod, and will be heavily reliant on Universal Electricity. #174

keplersj commented 10 years ago

Boat items will now be considered electrical items by Universal Electricity, and the entity will interface IEnergyInterface as Calclavia has recommended.

keplersj commented 10 years ago

All traits will have electrical properties.

viliml commented 10 years ago

Is that really a good idea? I'm not exactly a fan of UE, and I don't think it's very wise to base the entire mod off of it!

keplersj commented 10 years ago

I like Redstone Flux and Electrical Units but it seems like most of the energy handling would have to be handled by BoatCraft, due to it's entity nature. Calclavia said that he has an interface that should work well with entities.

https://github.com/KingLemming/CoFHLib/tree/master/cofh/api/energy can work with entities too if you implement it correctly... Heck I made real movable TEs in some places!
