Falling at the first hurdle #32

Hi,

Please excuse my complete noob question. When i get the the "ssh pi@escapepod" part, i get the following response on terminal Mac os:

ssh: Could not resolve hostname escapepod: nodename nor servname provided, or not known

Initially i thought it could be that the pi wasn't on the network, so I changed the network settings on the pi, but it still says the same? Any ideas please?

I have a Pi 4 4gb with 32gb sandisk sd card. My mac is 2020 macbook pro M1 running on Monteray.

Hi again, I managed to fix this by putting .local at the end. However, I now have a new issue. I cannot access http://escapepod:8080? It just says to check the spelling of escapepod. I've tried http://escapepod.local:8080 but that did't work either.

Any ideas please?

http://192.168.0.105:8080 as it suggests in the terminal window doesn't work either. It says:

This site can’t be reached 192.168.0.105 refused to connect.

All working now. It was just a case of re installing the Wire Pod on the Pi. I had to try it 4-5 times before it worked and have no idea what I did differently for it to work that particular time.
