Consider removing ALE

Elements I'd want:

• Easy configuration of the program to lint with, likely just :compiler
• Easy ability to run the linter without changing the main makeprg, for cases where project-wide build differs from file lint
• Auto-run the linter on write at least, if not as you type
• Show signs in the signcolumn for any quickfix entry
• Show the quickfix entry message when the cursor is on the line

Some initial notes:

• Dispatch keeps focusing the quickfix window when it opens. My bits in my vimrc to auto-open the window seem to conflict with it somehow. :make works fine, and dispatch doesn’t do it if my autocmd isn’t there, so it’s only breaking dispatch.
• AsyncDo seems promising but has some problems. The biggest one is running it non-async will fail if the command is multi-word. It doesn’t seem to be splitting it. Running it async and passing it as job will work fine, though, which is highly inconsistent and problematic, as I can’t do a non-background :Make. I can’t get the async version to behave reliably either, actually.
• AsyncRun seems rather heavy for what it does.
• qfsign doesn’t update when cfilter changes the list. That is, it doesn’t seem like QuickFixCmdPost runs when setqflist() is, or it needs to clear the existing ones out first. Looks like we can call its commands to clear and place the signs after :Filter, or actually doautocmd the pre/post quickfix cmd events when it’s done, to ensure everything reflects the changes. Consider replacing the default :CFilter and :LFilter to fire the autocmds, then :Filter can stay as is.

quickfixsigns is old and does a lot more than just quickfix, so I don't really like it. errormarker also highlights the entire line and that can't be disabled. markify seems solid but has no way to opt out of its mappings, which pisses me off. Either use qfsign with tweaks, or use markify and don't set anymore in favor of explicit , mappings per romainl's thoughts.
