RS232 support maybe via RPi or other computer with serial port or USB-to-serial adapter converted to TCP? #1

Hi,

I am planning to buy a Homey and I am looking into the supported devices. And i found this project to support Pioneer receivers.

It would be awesome if there could be also support for older devices which only has a RS232 port?

Please take a look at the SSH plugin I created. With that you can send your own commands through ssh witch is enabled by default on a Raspberry Pi. You can als do infrared if your Pioneer and your Homey are gonna be in the same room

Ik heb vandaag de tijd genomen om de modules van Marco van den Hout, de Marantz app en de module van Marco van 't Klooster de Pioneer VSX app, als basis te gebruiken en daar wat zaken bij elkaar gestopt om een werkende situatie te creeëren voor mijn eigen situatie. Ik heb de receiver aangesloten via de RS232(seriele verbinding/ COM poort) op mijn Ubuntu PC(die dienst doet als fileserver hier thuis). Dat project heb ik op GitHub gezet: https://github.com/Priyantha/nl.priyantha.pioneer-vsx-rs232

hey, I have a VSX 1021 and couldn't get it to work. Perhaps I can help out. Note that my dev skills are a bit rusty and I'm new to Homey as well. Any idea how I can assist? Perhaps try a few things out?
