The full story here is that trybooster.com has interest in the name purr, and offers 200$ for a rename:

I've taken over this effort from Diego, hence the delay in getting back to you. We'd be happy to donate the $200 for the rename of the project as per https://github.com/kernsuite/packaging/issues/206

but nobody took any action so I guess we should just leave this and close this issue.
