i tried it with Firefox 3.5 with overwritten compatibility (rearchived after
changing
install.rdf adding support for 3.5) almost everything works as if it was 3.0
however,
it seems to break the customization feature of Firefox. it keeps resetting the
navigation tool bar and it doesn't let you add custom icons that have been
added by
addons

I've made an update and the plugin available for download now
(http://tabviz.googlecode.com/files/tabviz.xpi) should work for 3.5. We will
need
additional testing or more details to address the customization issue mentioned
by
superaktieboy.

Compatibility with FF 3.5.1 is broken. :(

To the most recent commenter, can you provide more detail? Others have said
that it
is working fine. Can you see the icon in the lower left? Do be sure to flip
around
between tabs a bit before trying the visualization.

I can't even install the addon (from
http://tabviz.googlecode.com/files/tabviz.xpi)
under FF 3.5.1 because:
"Tabviz 20090505 could not be installed because it is not compatible with
Firefox 3.5.1"

Please make sure that you have downloaded the newest version, I made an update
yesterday that has worked for others. Uninstall your version and try
redownloading.
It is the same file name, same location for the download, and yes, unfortunately the
same version number. This is a proof-of-concept prototype, meant to
demonstrate our
concept, not meant for regular use, so we're sloppy with our code. People are
only
getting this level of support for trying it out because I'm unemployed at the
moment. ;-)

Today I downloaded the newest version and it works with FF 3.5.1

I have the same problem, on firefox 3.5.1, vista 32 ultimate SP1, tabviz
inhibits
toolbar configuration with firefox 3.5.1. Anyway, if I try to install the file
from
http://tabviz.googlecode.com/files/tabviz.xpi, firefox tells me it's version
20090505: is this your latest version ? Shouldn't this latest version be
something
like 20090720 ? thanks

I also installed it but it gives the same problem. I think 20090505 is still
the old
buggy version, could you verify, please ? thanks.

The same version number is in use for all versions. Sloppy, I know. Feel free
to fix
it, this is open source you know.. ;-)

i've disabled tabviz: with firefox 3.5.1 still haves the toolbar customization
problem (and has an incompatibility with the "fission" extension)

I can't use it because it isn't compatible will Firefox 3.6!

berdario, if you think TabViz is the source of the problem, uninstalling it
should
work. We know it's a buggy prototype. That's why it's called a prototype.
Zacharygomes, sorry but we need more info and 3.6 isn't even really out yet so
definitely not a priority. Again, note the distinction "prototype", as in,
experimental.

Hey guys,
I love your design, and installed the prototype to give it a whirl, but
immediately
had issues with my "Customized" toolbar layout. As others have noted, it seems
as
soon as I installed TabViz, my toolbar layout reverted back to the default
settings.
Changing the layout appears to only work for the duration of the current browser
session. As soon as FF is closed and re-opened, poof, the toolbars are back to
their
original settings.
In addition to this I have other weird Toolbar-related issues, like my Lastpass
button having completely disappeared (its not even showing up in the Toolbar
Customization screen). Very weird stuff. Anyways, I'm running the x86 RC1
version of
Windows 7. Here's my FF information courtesy of Nightly Tester Tools:
BuildID:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715
Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) ID:20090715094852)

I hope this helps you get things sorted out a bit further :) Great work so far!
