Just as the title states, Olivia doesn't seem to be working correctly. It will start up and let me select things, but when I try to play something, no sound comes out and a what looks to be a terminal pops up at the bottom of the application, saying this:

File tags:
 icy-title:

ALSA lib conf.c:3916:(snd_config_update_r) Cannot access file /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf
ALSA lib pcm.c:2495:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default
[ao/alsa] Playback open error: No such file or directory

[ao/oss] Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: No such file or directory

Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server request channel

jack server is not running or cannot be started

JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for -1, skipping unlock

If there is anything else I can provide, please let me know and I would be more than happy to oblige.

make sure "audio playback and record" permission is turned on for olivia. From command line you can enable them like this: snap connect olivia:pulseaudio snap connect olivia:alsa

Hey, that worked I think. The error doesn't show up now, but nothing seems to load even after leaving it to load for a while.

keshavbhatt commented 4 years ago

try playing internet radio. to confirm its an issue.

OMGdaDPS commented 4 years ago

Everything seems to be working now, besides the sound cloud thing. Thanks!

keshavbhatt commented 4 years ago

soundcloud search works fine.

OMGdaDPS commented 4 years ago

yeah, search seems to be working, but not the "trending music".

keshavbhatt commented 4 years ago

API key issues.
