1 year ago It works as expected here on archlinux snap install for me.
Make sure the notification sound is enabled in whatapp settings.

1 year ago yeah it works on snap only not work as flatpack or from AUR
the same for my ubuntu device notification sound doesn't work with flatpak snap is sucks, slow and hangs on sending messages
it doesn't give sound when showing notification is there a way to enable it?
