The same problem for 4.15.3 on OpenSUSE (whatsie-4.15.3-lp155.8.1.x86_64). Sometimes Whatsie works, but sometimes stops working and crashes on startup.

Still, I can't open this app even with 4.16.0
Just upgrade to 4.16.1 and started seeing these seg faults. It's when I click on the notifications in gnome that seems to be thing that causes the fault.
EDIT: To confirm, the error is occuring when using "Native' notification type. I don't have any errors when using 'Customized"
