Slow update frequency #105

I have managed to get it connected and integrated but the update frequency over bluetooth is very slow ranging from 1 minute to 10 minutes. Whilst the total consumption seem to be ok doesnt help with live data eg load monitoring. Are we able increase to polling frequency.

The direct connection without additional devices is really cool. It would be important to increase the frequency. The app can do it, so the data should be available in a faster update. With such slow updates, the data is useless for control or automation. Please consider updating the software, thank you in advance.

Sorry i tried with the esphome bluetooth with victron which uses the same protocol as this and the updates are pretty much live. At first they were really slow, i wipes everything and tried again and it resolved the issue for the esphome setup.

@rowlest I've run into the exact same issue here and made initial attempts with the esphome BT proxy, but to no avail. Could you shed some more light on what you did here to get this improved update frequency? Perhaps this isn't the appropriate place to discuss, but just not seeing my threads on other forums discussing this issue specifically. Thanks

I wiped the add-on and started again and it fixed the delayed update times. Everything still working as expected

Oh right, so you didn't use esphome in the end, but reinstalled victron-hacs and used this instead? Is that right?
