One of the comments in the post you tagged me had this interesting blog, where someone had something similar to what we are trying to do. "We" seems wrong. You are going to do everything but i digress. He mentioned that the Seattle police working with a company had an online repository of all 911 calls made. So i opened it up and it was beautiful. One thing i didn't have which i think, we might need is the date the complaint was made. But nonetheless it was extremely detailed. Millions of rows of data. With a little bit of doubt in my mind, i tried the same for our city. And it does have it. And i think i hit the motherlode!! Was able to get the 911 calls made in GNV. But the only downside is that it only generates for 6 months from today. But it is pretty good. From a coding point of view, the Seattle database had an option of exporting it as a CSV file. I could only print it as PDF. So sorting and analyzing is going to be tough. But i'm sure you have already thought of a way.
Will discuss more when we meet.
