Do you have other extensions installed? It sounds like conex is playing ping pong with another extension that handles tabs or/and containers
I had the Facebook container open, opened the Conex addon settings page in the same window, clicked a bugzilla link on that page, a new tab opened, loading the bugzilla page. Then something weird happened: All tabs were replaced with the "default" container tabs, the bugzilla tab was now reloading among them, but still had the Facebook container colour. Then all tabs were replaced with the Facebook container tabs and the bugzilla page was loading among them, still having the Facebook container colour. Then all tabs were again replaced with the "default" container tabs, and so on and so on... This went on until I managed to close the bugzilla tab.
I would have expected the bugzilla page to open either in the Facebook container or in the "default" container, but it should not have been moved back and forth between the tab sets.
My first guess would be: The Facebook Container addon by Mozilla is fighting with Conex.
I am using Firefox 60.0.1.
