Switching from a non-default container to default, then opening a tab opens the tab in the non-default container #244

Hi @kesselborn,

As above, I'm noticing some weird behaviour... When I'm in container A, and switch to default then open a new tab intending to open it up in default, firefox jumps back to container A, and opens the tab there. This appears to only be the case if there's an empty new tab as the last tab in default.

Here's the steps to repro:

  1. Have an empty new tab page open as the last tab on default
  2. Navigate to another container.
  3. Click through a few tabs on that container.
  4. Switch back to default.
  5. Open another new tab
  6. Enter in a url in this newly created new tab.
  7. Hit enter
  8. This tab should now be loaded on your previous non-default container.

Expected behaviour

  1. Switch to default, and then open a new tab
  2. Load a page
  3. The page should load in the default container.

Other details

  1. Firefox Nightly 62.0a1
  2. Conex 0.7.9
  3. macOS 10.13.5
  4. Tab center redux 0.6.3

Let me know if I can help in any way with more data, etc. Thanks man :)

hey: sorry for the very late reply: I was kind of off the grid for a while :/

will look into this -- thanks for the detailed steps on how to reproduce this

Hey @kesselborn - please don't apologise... you're doing this on your own, so we have no expectations. Any support at all is appreciated.

No problems... please ping me if you need any extra debug help on this.

P.S - thank you again. Conex is invaluable to me.
