so: you want two keyboard shortcuts? One opens a container in the current container and the other one in the "no-container"? Note that the "no-container" is just a container with the name "default" which is always there and can't be removed, so there is basically no difference
I like the idea of making Ctrl+T open a new tab in current container but this eliminates the ability to switch between containers and no-container. I would suggest having an option for both.
This extension accomplishes this with Alt+C but I think they have the order in reverse. Ctrl+T should be current tab and Alt+C is to leave containers back to normal mode. At this point, Conex has half of this already done. :+1:
