same here
Same here, this is definitely a problem. I do not have 200 tabs, but I have around 100 I think and it's noticeable and it's freaking annoying :( Problem also stops when I disable Conex. Firefox 63.0.3 64bit, Linux. Pleeeease fix this. :)
Sorry: was very unactive with conex lately. Do you have thumbnails and / or favicons enabled? Can you try to turn these options off and see if this makes a difference?
Disabling thumbnails&icons - was the first, that I tried. In the time of writing of this issue - where was no difference, but now disabling thumbs helps! But in this period update to firefox itself arrived (v64), may be it's related...
So: it helps as in this bug can be closed? Performance issues are always quite hard to test or fix. Thumbnails and favicons definitely add to the load.
please keep the issue open for some more days to test
It helps with performance (everything fast again now), but I've noticed when I open a link from email client for example, it opens only in default tab, not in the current active tab :(
I now have issue #163 re-opened which is about general performance improvements. I will close thise issue as it is about the same problem
I have about a 200+ tabs, and if I enable Conex - firefox become inusable - random hangs on scrolling pages/pressing links or buttons on pages. It hangs for 1-3 seconds, and this behavior disappears after disabling conex (no restart needed), and reappears instantly after enable conex again. If I move mouse over links - cursor changes its form from arrow to hand in 1-2 seconds. If I press link or button - nothing happens, but after 1-3 second I see, that link changes its color (like its pressed), and buttons redraws to "pressed" state. Durings this hangs - it's possible to move mouse. The same behavior with scrolling - it's hangs for 1-3 seconds, and scrolls fast after that.
It's absolutely impossible to use browser with this bug. I happy to found, that it was not a problem of Firefox itself, but Conex is very comfortable, and it's very advised to fix this...
